Our Story

Dunkirk Fredonia Meals on Wheels was established in 1970. We are a 501(c)3 not-for-profit agency that delivers healthy prepared meals directly to your door, along with a wellness and safety check from our friendly volunteers. Enrolling in our dietitian-reviewed home-delivered meals service is easy and ensures that you get the nutritious foods you need to keep healthy at a great value. Service is provided in Brocton, Cassadaga, Dunkirk, Forestville, Fredonia, Irving, Portland, Sheridan, and Silver Creek areas.

We think that every senior who needs Meals on Wheels should get it, but with growing demand and rising costs at the grocery store, many seniors are left waiting for nutritious food and social connection. We hope to be a bridge for lower cost and a really good meal.

Living in isolation can cause feelings of loneliness and depression and can take a serious toll on your mental health. That is the reality for many seniors living in America. A whopping 56% of seniors say they experience feelings of loneliness. We are here to make sure you are seen, heard and loved.
